Para referência, o módulo de kernel utilizado por essa webcam é o “uvcvideo”. E, como eu disse, eu não configurei nada (sim, zero, nada mesmo) para que a mesma funcionasse.

Sendo assim, se você me perguntar o que eu fiz para que a webcam funcionasse, eu me sentirei no direito de simplesmente ignorar sua pergunta

Opa, fiquei curioso agora. No meu caso não foi um netbook, mas ganhei de natal um Positivo Unique 67, falavam muito de tal marca e realmente eu tinha um pré-conceito, até o momento ele está me atendendo em todas as minhas necessidades e não penso em trocá-lo tão cedo.

Lendo o seu ‘review’ vi que cometi uma falha, pois eu não fiquei com o windows 7 nem por 15 minutos, assim que coloquei as mãos no bichinho eu já instalei o Ubuntu e não fiz nenhum teste de hardware. Acho que tive sorte, pois não tive nenhum problema até agora. Exceto por não ter conseguido fazer minha webcam funcionar; estou usando o Ubuntu 9.10. Você poderia dizer qual o modelo de sua webcam, se for o mesmo da minha talvez eu opte pelo Debian ao invés do Ubuntu para fazê-la funcionar. (apesar de não ter tentado muita coisa até agora), mas como você disse se ela foi reconhecida automaticamente pelo Debian, seria uma boa opção para mim.
